Ruan Vos

Ruan Vos is a South African sound engineer, music producer, and artist based in Cape Town. He is the founder of Sonic Nursery Sound Studios, where he engineers and produces a wide range of music, voice-over, and film projects. With over a decade of experience across studio and live environments, Ruan combines deep technical knowledge with a passion for raw, emotionally driven sound.

As the creative mind behind Sold Ash, an experimental rock project blending elements of drone, kraut rock, and noise, Ruan has built a reputation for intense, genre-blurring performances. Sold Ash’s debut album Howl A Little Louder Just Don’t Spit In My Mouth showcased his visceral songwriting and distinctive production style, earning underground acclaim in South Africa’s alternative scene.

Ruan also runs Glitch Culture, an events collective that curates live shows celebrating experimental music, community, and creative freedom. Through Glitch Culture, he supports emerging artists and cultivates spaces where bold, unconventional art can thrive.
