Qü
Bio
Qü is a Johannesburg-based recording artist and producer who has been crafting a unique sound that blends hip-hop, reggae, and African soul influences. Initially part of the band Johnny Cradle, Qü released their self-titled debut album with Just Music in 2017. He has since performed at prominent South African festivals like Oppikopi, Rocking the Daisies, Basha Uhuru, and Afropunk's 'Planet Afropunk'.
After parting ways with Johnny Cradle in 2018, Qü embarked on a new musical direction, shifting from high-energy rock-infused sounds to a more laid-back, soulful style. His current work features Fender Rhodes chords, moody piano melodies, and heavy dub-inspired bass lines, accompanied by introspective and personal lyrics. This evolution showcases Qü's versatility and growth as an artist.
