Bio
Qi Yu is a Chinese zither (Guzheng) player, composer, and educator. She began studying guzheng at the age of six and has since developed a distinctive style that blends traditional Chinese music with jazz, Latin, and Afro-Cuban rhythms.
She has always been passionate about bridging cultures through sound, and she explores innovative ways to integrate the Guzheng into different musical genres.
Beyond the stage, Qi shares her artistry through master classes, workshops, and recording projects. For her, music is more than just performance—it's a form of storytelling, a shared human experience, and a powerful emotional connection.
