P.Q.

P.Q (Pyken Elton Mkwate) is a Malawian reggae / dancehall singer-songwriter whose music falls under the L-Shattaz Crew recording stable. His interest in music began at a tender age. Later, he decided to take music as a profession and this saw him launching a debut mixtape titled ‘Tema-Tema’ (05 May 2012). The mixtape was recorded at Soul Food Records / Drop Down Entertainment.

The mixtape featured 15 songs namely ‘Wangongole’ (ft.Hip-Hop Crew Entity), ‘Tema-Tema’, ‘Popanda Iwe’ and many others. He has also done projects with different artists such as Chizmo, Flavio Hominuz & Noxy G (of L-Shattaz/Flavio Beatz),Khuzie B & Ninja Warrior of Black Agon.

In 2008, he formed a crew called L-Shottaz. PQ has worked with Chizmo, Mario C,FFT, Phat Lu of Ill city, Pilgrim, Blaze,Bingeh, Kush-Wemu-Tesh of Military Bwoys, Khunzie B and Ninja of Black Agon, Star Marley, Entity just to mention a few. He is also credited for a number of riddims which he did for recording studios such as Uptown Beats ,Chiphaliwali records, T-k More Records, Soul Food Records, Wave Records, BFB (Exclusive) and many others.
