Glen Mpho Makwala also known as Phantom Steeze is a dancer and rapper born and bred in Tembisa. He grew up in the streets of Midrand where his hip hop career started; and his resume is quite impressive. He has shared the stage with the likes of Cassper Nyovest and has opened for Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Wayne and Khuli Chana amongst others. His dancing career is almost as established as his rapping career. He has done dance campaigns for major brands such as FUBU, VUZU, Big Brother and Coca-Cola to name a few. He then decided that he wanted to pursue a career in rap and has had major success in the club scene with his first debut single “Skipa saka Joe” followed by “Hurray”; these being the most received singles online and live. Phantom Steeze has a new hit single ‘Babalazi’, which has received positive feedback, but the motive is to make the song nation wide. Babalazi is a song that chronicles Phantom Steeze’s hangover after a night of celebration with his homies. After one of the many epic nights out in the heart of Johannesburg, Phantom found himself holding his head together looking for a cure to the pain of Veisalgia (aka. Babalazi). This dude must have went in because he mentions that he was taking shots, Hennessy and drinking champagne.
