Bio
Patrick Victor, often hailed as the "Kreol King of the Islands," is a celebrated Seychellois singer-songwriter and a leading ambassador of Creole culture. Born into a musical family, he developed his craft performing with his grandfather's Kanmtole band in Anse Boileau, immersing himself in the rich traditions of Seychelles music.
Victor is renowned for blending traditional Seychellois folk rhythms with Kenyan benga and other styles, notably creating Montea, a distinctive fusion of folk and benga. His work has brought Creole music to international audiences, earning him a reputation as a cultural icon.
Over a career spanning more than 25 years, Victor has performed worldwide and collaborated with numerous local groups on Mahé. His music is available on major platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music. Notable tracks include "Solin" and "Nwel Samarel" (featuring Jany Letourdi), highlighting his mastery of Creole songwriting and performance.
