ORTHODOX

Orthodox is a reggae, dancehall, and hip-hop artist from Pretoria, South Africa. He is a producer, composer, and performer, as well as a self-taught photographer and videographer. Orthodox creates beats both by sampling and from scratch, while also composing his own songs.

He primarily performs across Gauteng but has also appeared in other provinces at small venues and festivals. His music journey began in his teenage years, performing at school events and within his township. He later formed a band called QMC with three collaborators before embarking on a solo career. Over time, Orthodox has performed alongside notable artists such as Carlos Djedje and Lesego Nkonyane of Ladies in Jazz.

In addition to performing, he established a home studio where he produces the majority of his music. Orthodox remains active in the industry, with his work available across major music platforms.
