Oman Wa Pitori

Oman Wa Pitori (born Oliver Tinkane Mkhabela) is a South African artist whose journey is driven by a deep-rooted belief that music is not just a passion, but a way of life.

Hailing from Soshanguve in Pretoria, Oman discovered his love for music at an early age. He began developing his sound by working alongside local DJs, including Applejezz, experiences that played a key role in shaping his artistic direction.

In pursuit of financial stability, he later relocated to Benoni, taking a brief hiatus from music to focus on work. However, his passion was reignited after meeting fellow artist ProperDee. United by a shared commitment to their craft, the two began collaborating and investing in amapiano production, working with renowned producer Yuppe. This move not only elevated their sound but also demonstrated their belief in their long-term potential.

After a series of collaborative releases, Oman stepped into his own spotlight in 2024 with the release of his debut solo single “Mntase”, followed by “Sgantsontso”. Both tracks were distributed across major digital platforms, marking the beginning of his emergence as a solo act.

His growing momentum led to a management deal with Thornbush Entertainment, opening opportunities for wider exposure and collaborations, including features with platforms such as Trace Africa and Hillbrow Radio 24/7.

With a clear vision and strengthening industry presence, Oman Wa Pitori continues to carve out his space within the South African music scene, establishing himself as an artist to watch.
