Born Olamide Adedeji, on March 15 1989 in Bariga, Lagos, Nigeria. He studied Mass Communication at the Tai Solarin University, Nigeria

He got his musical break, when he was signed unto ID Cabassa's Coded Tunz label in 2011, where he released his brilliant 16-track debut album, titled "RapSoDi", with fans favourite "Eni duro" as the big hit single. This album was an instant success, with Olamide featuring his trademark powerful Rap lyrics, delivered in his native language Yoruba. A style revolutionised by the legendary Rappers Lord of Ajasa and the late DaGrin.

He founded his own label YBNL in 2012, under which he released his phenomenally successful second album "YBNL" in 2012. His biggest success was to come with his third album, "The baddest guy that ever liveth", with the monster hit "Duro soke".

He has won a number of awards include the Headies 2013 in categories Best Rap album and Best Hip Hop artiste.
