Offside Trick

One of Zanzibar's most promising hip-hop groups, Offside Trick play a variety of Rap, Ragga and R&B music using the Swahili language. Like most hip-hop artists their songs are about love and issues affecting the daily lives of people in their society.

Formed in 2001, they have participated in a number of concerts, beginning at the 2003 Festival of the Dhow Countries.They have gone on to perform in Oman, UAE, England, Scotland and all over East and Central Africa.

Their hits include 'Ndani Ya Party', 'Uwanjani' featuring AT and Dotcom, 'Samaki', 'Ahmada' featuring the legendary Bi kidude, 'Bata' featuring Taarab star Mzee Yussuf, 'Dege' featuring Hammer Q, 'Babu Jinga', 'Chatu' and most recently 'Talaka' in 2014.
