Nomfundo Yekani (born Nomfundo Nkutha) is a South African rapper, songwriter, and television presenter known as the "Queen of SA Hip-Hop". Born on July 31, 1997, she hails from Thokoza in Ekurhuleni Career Beginnings & Television Before her music career took off, Yekani pursued television presenting. She worked on shows such as Planet TV and SABC 1’s Soccer 411, and was the 4th runner-up in the MTV Base VJ Search. Although she had an interest in hip-hop from a young age, it was only during the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown that she fully committed to rapping. Musical Style & Discography Yekani is recognized for her lyrical versatility and "bi-lingual acrobatics," often compared to the legendary South African rapper Pro-Kid. Her music blends hardcore rap with elements of Kwaito, particularly in her more recent work which she describes as "modern-twist old school Kwaito
