Nduduzo Zakhele Mkhize
Bio
Nduduzo Zakhele Mkhize is a pianist and vocalist from Kwa-Zulu Natal. He was introduced to professional music and theatre at the age of 14, giving him over ten years of industry experience. His began formal music education when he joined Drakensberg Boys Choir School, where, in addition to daily choral training, he gained international exposure through extensive touring, developing a first-hand understanding of what it means to be a world-class musician.
He has completed voice-over work for the Zabalaza Theatre Festival, composed music for student films at the University of Cape Town, and taught music at the Drakensberg Boys Choir School, where he was once also part of the choir in his early years. During his time there, he also contributed as a lyricist to the choir’s African programme under the direction of then Artistic Director Bernard Kruger (2017). He has performed at government functions at the ICC in both Durban and Cape Town and has written music for emerging artists in Cape Town.
