Ndivhuho NL

Ndivhuho NL (Ndivhuho Luvhengo), born April 18-1981 in South Africa. He is a professional guitarist, singer-songwriter with the provision of performing art, composer/arranger, music educator and producer. Ndivhuho NL is a multi-award winning Jazz Artist in South Africa. He recently won four for Best Jazz Song/Hit/Single at Mzantsi Jazz Awards (2019), South African Traditional Music Awards (SATMA 2019), Limpopo Music Awards (LIMA 2019 & 2021). Ndivhuho NL is a recording artist with 3 Singles and 2 Albums under his name. He is a Bachelor of Music degree (BMus hons) graduate at the University of Venda, and currently working on promoting art in the communities and local schools. The emphasis is still heavily draws from Jazz-Fusion and African Jazz. Currently he released his second full project/album, “Silent but Muted” as the complement of the Single “Ndi Dzula Ndi Nae” which was released on the 7th of February 2021. The latest album “Silent but Muted” were released on the 01 August 2021. The album comprised with 7 tracks. In September 2010 his first hit song Ndariyeni Limpopo (Let’s go to Limpopo) went viral on-air.
Ndivhuho NL first laid his hands on a guitar professional at the age of twenty four (actually he was an acoustic guitar player before he enrolled in the academically music institution – University of Venda). He completed Bachelor of Music honors in 2009 at the University of Venda. His love for music grew even further when he started high school. During free periods, he would entertain fellow learners as well as teachers, imitating some of his favorite reggae and country artists. He completed Computer Literacy Certificate, which enable him to distribute, publish and market his music independently. He is well experienced in art administration. He gained that experience at the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture Limpopo, serving as intern and Cultural Officer in 2010/2011 financial year.
Ndivhuho is a truly and fiercely independent artist, with his own production company and no mainstream industry support, but using mostly online social networks for promotion, he has defied the odds with a huge, truly supportive fan base resulting in one of bringing back music education in public/private schools around the district of Vhembe, Limpopo, South Africa. His passion for creative art development and teaching children is so evident in his music education commitment.
Ndivhuho NL appeared on stage performing at one of major national festivals, Marula Art Festival and volunteered to exhibit/show-case his live performance at Mapungubwe exhibitions in 2017. This year 2022, he hosted a celebration of all his four awards he won. The date was 20 March 2022 at Rensia Palace. The aim of the celebrations was building the emergent of local jazz, fan base and in support of Social Cohesion and Nation Building, Celebrations of the winning awards. Concert SA digital mobility fund was part of supports for live streaming.
