The Nation
Bio
The Nation is a Malawian newspaper based in Blantyre. It was founded by Aleke Banda after the 1993 referendum. It is run and controlled by the Nations Publications Limited. The organization began distributing the paper in July of that year. In 1994, the paper was turned into a daily. In 1995, Nations Publications Limited launched a sister paper called Saturday Nation. Saturday Nation is only available on weekends. The two newspapers cover a lot of stories chief among them the arts and culture sectors.
