Mz Yvonne

Mz Yvonne Yvy Hangara is a musician, author, composer, musicologist and music educator from Windhoek, Namibia.

She obtained a Honors degree in Music & Arts in Ethnomusicology at the University of Namibia and a diploma in ethnomusicology at the Zimbabwe College of Music in Harare . Mz Yvonne also has a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education .

Hangara has shared the stage with artists such as Sipho Makabane (SA) Lusanda (SA), Debaba (DRC Congo), Patrice Ngoi (DR Congo) and Ephraim (Zambia) among others. Mz Yvonne-Yvy was nominated three times in the Namibian Annual Music awards (NAMAS),for best traditional,best Kizomba and best Gospel.She has taken part at most of the national big events such as the /Aae Gams arts and cultural shows and also the the last band standing competition held by the national theater of Namibia.
