MoshMallow

MoshMallow is a South African "pinkcore" metalcore band based in Gauteng. They blend heavy metalcore sounds with a bold, feminine aesthetic. Fronted by vocalist Marty, the band embraces both aggressive and soft elements in their music and image. Their single "Pink as Fuck" released in May 2024 exemplifies this fusion, combining heavy riffs with melodic vocals. Marty describes the band's concept as a balance between masculine and feminine energies, aiming to challenge traditional metal norms by incorporating pink aesthetics and themes of empowerment. MoshMallow is part of a growing movement of female-fronted bands in South Africa's alternative scene, contributing to its diversity and evolution.

MoshMallow’s played a few “top notch” shows in 2024, including RAM PRETORIA HALLOWEEN SHOW at Loftus as well as the Emalyth Sognage Halloween show in November 2024.

MoshMallow released their second single titled ‘Creeper Vines’ in March 2025.
