Bio
Molefi Phuroe, known as Levos, is a vibrant character with boundless creativity. Levos started his musical journey at the age of twelve at the Welcome Soweto School Of Music (WESSOM). Despite financial difficulties interrupting his formal studies, his passion for the arts remained unwavering. During high school he diversified his interests by delving into radio and television broadcasting, then later into Live Event Technical and Production. These experiences provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the entertainment industry from various perspectives.
Determined to refine his craft and gain deeper insight into the music industry, Levos re-entered the field with a focus on both the business and performance aspects of music. Levos pursued a course in music industry practice at the Central Johannesburg College, where he honed my drumming skills. Two years later he completed a course in Sound & Music Technology, qualifying as a studio and live sound engineer.
Levos is a founding member of the band "Bantu Social," where he plays a pivotal role as the drummer and band leader, his extensive music family includes drumming for Zuko Collective, Jazz Cats SA, MaxX & Love, Elo ZAR, Solo Ntsizwa ka Mthimkhulu, and The Compound Element (TCE). Levo has also been fortunate and honored to session for South African legends such as MXO, Joe Nina, Abigail Khubeka, and Themba Mokoena. Levo has other passions including music and event curating as well as film and photography. His journey reflects his commitment to continuous learning and his passion for music. Levos aspires to become a respected and dynamic figure in the industry, driven by his dedication and relentless pursuit of excellence.
