MOCHIKARO

Known as MOCHIKARO, Sibongiseni Sydney Lamula is a South African recording artist from Sahlumbe in Mnambithi, under the Alfred Duma Local Municipality in KwaZulu-Natal. He is a dynamic and versatile musician whose sound reflects both his personal journey and cultural roots.

He began his music career in 2014, performing reggae music under the stage name Logic. During this time, he embraced Rastafarian influences and released a 10-track album. As Logic, he performed at various events, including Nyusivolume and Reggae Celebration, gaining valuable stage experience and building a growing audience.

As his artistry evolved, he transitioned into Maskandi music, where he is now widely known as MOCHIKARO. This shift allowed him to connect more deeply with traditional Zulu sounds and storytelling, shaping his current musical identity.

Under the name MOCHIKARO, he has released several singles available on digital platforms, including Nyawupe, Amapermit, Giya Mthakathi, and Uthando Lwethu. These songs were released between late 2025 and early 2026, marking a significant step in his career growth.

With a unique fusion of reggae roots and Maskandi rhythms, MOCHIKARO continues to establish himself in the South African music industry, delivering authentic storytelling, cultural pride, and a distinctive musical voice.
