MIMI

MIMI is Zimbabwean and French DJ, underground fashion designer and alternative creative. As part of the current and dynamic Harare art and music scene, her multicultural background has shaped her sonic, visual, and creative expression. She plays house music (disco house, deep house, etc.) as well as African sounds such as Afrohouse and Afrotech.

She is part of the KAOS team, which organises DJ-centric events that cater exclusively to house music with an appreciation for African Dance Music. She is also part of HOUẞE WÅRMING, a Zimbabwean DJ trio with Röri and TAPIWA. This electrifying trio bridges the gap between tradition and innovation, fusing Afro rhythms with cutting-edge electronic sounds.

In her DJ and overall creative work, she believes in community, collaboration, and intentional storytelling, and as such, has promoted the inclusion and visibility of femme DJs in Zimbabwe.
