Mark Cheyne

Mark Cheyne is a musical director that has worked on many events and with artists including Lira, Johnny Clegg, Vicky Sampson, Prime Circle, Jamali, Vusi Mahlasela, Elvis Blue, Jennifer Rush and many other household names. He has a lot of experience working with orchestras, and is the musical director of the Electric Pops Orchestra.

He produced the album 'The Boundless Music of the Soul Brothers' with the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra which was nominated for a SAMA award.

He composes music for TV & Radio commercials (ABSA, Emperors Palace, Coca-cola, Plascon, Colgate) as well as corporate events and won a Loerie Craft Award for the original score for a BMW launch. Other clients include Altron, MTN, SAB, Vodacom, Mercedes Benz, Toyota, Discovery, Momentum, ABSA, Coca-cola, First National Bank, SARS, Car of the Year and Massmart.
