Marimba Restaurant

Marimba Restaurant is situated in the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) on the historic Heerengracht between the downtown area and the V&A Waterfront. This restaurant and function venue takes the marimba theme to new levels. The award-winning décor celebrates the African origin and global energy of the Marimba. Invented in Africa thousands of years ago, the traditional wooden African xylophone – the Marimba is today found on all seven continents in traditional and modern forms, such as vibraphones, xylophones and more. Marimba shapes and images are reflected in stone, wood and steel furnishings and décor at Marimba Restaurant and Cigar Bar. The piece de resistance is the marimba suspended from the ceiling – reputed to be the largest marimba on the planet!
