Mannie Tseayo

Bio

Mannie Tseayo is a Nigerian-born singer, songwriter, and rapper whose sound weaves together Afrobeats, R&B, and rap to tell deeply personal and culturally grounded stories. Raised in the heart of Abuja, she was immersed in music from a young age and began recording at just 8 years old in her uncle’s backyard studio. There, she honed her skills by writing lyrics and assisting visiting artists with hooks and vocal arrangements — an early glimpse of the creative direction and storytelling that now define her sound.

Rooted in her Tiv heritage, Mannie consciously includes cultural elements in her music and visual presentation, infusing tradition with a modern, genre-bending edge. Her art reflects her identity: introspective, bold, and emotionally resonant. She draws inspiration from personal experience and the narratives of others, crafting music that speaks to vulnerability, resilience, and connection.

Mannie has received live performance training under Made Kuti — the grandson of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti — deepening her stage presence and grounding her performance style in authenticity and power. Whether performing with a band or curating visuals for her rollouts, she brings a holistic and intentional energy to every aspect of her artistry.

Beyond music, Mannie is also a visual storyteller with a background in creative direction, having worked on fashion campaigns, short films, and art exhibitions. She uses social media not just as a promotional tool, but as a creative space to engage meaningfully with her community and peers.

With a growing catalogue and captivating stagecraft, Mannie Tseayo is emerging as a dynamic force in the global music scene — one driven by purpose, identity, and an unwavering commitment to the art.
