Bio

Thulane Mdlalose was born and raised in Soweto at a township called Dlamini. He attended at a nearby primary school called Emadlelweni Primary and then later attended high school at Lenz public school in Lenasia.
As a child, Thulane grew up in a musical family in which many of his family members loved singing and were participants in the church choir and dedicated almost all their Sundays to church. That was how his love for music was influenced at a very young age. Since then his talented voice has been noticed and given more singing opportunities during church events.
When he started high school, he was an active performer who took part at school events and loved sharing his voice with his fellow schoolmates.
He pursued music professionally in late 2013 in grade 10 of high school when he got introduced to a band called “Familly” by Andile Fica who attended the same church as his
His sound is a fusion of African music with afro pop and has elements of jazz, which can be best described as African jazz. Man Of Song is inspired and motivated by legendary jazz musicians such as Mama Dorothy Masuku, Miriam Makeba, Busi Mhlongo, Siphokazi and Thandiswa Mazwai to name a few.
Since then at the age of 15 years, Thulane has been introduced and exposed to performing in different environments and occasions such as:
 Tavern Restaurant in Maponya mall
 Joburg Theatre in Braamfontein
 Winnie's soul and jazz restaurant.
 Soweto Theatre
 The Orbit
 Neighbourgoods Market in Braamfontein
 Theatre Of Marcellus at the Emperors palace
He has also performed at a number of other events and shared stages with known famous artists including Dorothy Masuku, Busiswa, Vusi Nova, Siphokazi, Bheki Khoza, etc
Thulane was enrolled in a music college in South Kensington where he studied music performance, majoring in vocals as his discipline
Man Of Song worked with Jozi unsigned and concerts SA on one of their school circuits program hosted in Sebokeg. He was also a member of a voice training and coaching school founded by NthabySang Motsepe, in which he was later in the years asked to lead and teach vocalists attending those classes.
Having being exposed to such varied audiences with different expectations, Man Of Song learned to be a versatile vocalist and songwriter from a very young age. Hence today he is known for his exceptional performance and enthusiasm for music.
In the year 2016, Man Of Song hosted his first live show in Soweto, which was highly supported by his community.
Man Of Song got featured in a show called “LiveNReyired presented by YFM in which he wowed the audience, both who attended the show in-studio and those listening on radio as it was broadcasted live from the stage.
