Maimouna Jallow


Maimouna Jallow is a storyteller and media consultant based in Nairobi, Kenya.

In 2014 she co-founded an arts and media company called Positively African. In 2016, she launched The Nairobi Storytelling Festival. She is the curator the Re-Imagined Series - adapting folktales and novels for contemporary audiences.

She has led workshops and performed on stages around the world, including Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, Somalia, Egypt, Nigeria and others. She is a fellow of the inaugural Ford Foundation Africa No Filter initiative and her work has been featured on the BBC, Forbes Woman Africa, and The East African, among others.
