Magamba Network

Magamba Network is one of Zimbabwe’s vibrant organizations that are bent on promoting culture, activism and new media. It was co-founded in 2007 by Comrade Fatso and Outspoken. The network promotes citizen journalism and alternative media, organises popular cultural events, promotes new artists and pioneers creative youth activism.

Its vision is a free and just Zimbabwe. It is involved in poetry, hip-hop and comedy movements in Zimbabwe as well as in new forms of youth activism and new media activism. Its task is to invent new forms of cultural, youth and new media activism with the thrust of opening up democratic space.

Magamba’s vision is a free and just Zimbabwe. Magamba means ‘Heroes’ or ‘Freedom Fighters’, signifying the youth of today reclaiming the legacy of struggle.
