Lusanda Ngcobo, known professionally as Lusanda, is a rising South African R&B and neo-soul artist. Born in Durban and raised in Johannesburg, she began her artistic journey in classical ballet, marimba, and choir singing, which laid the foundation for her expressive musical style.
She first gained attention in 2023 when a stripped-down cover of Hey Ya! by Outkast went viral on social media, marking the start of her professional music career. Lusanda’s music is characterised by warm, soulful vocals, emotional depth, and a blend of contemporary R&B and pop influences.
Her collaborations include artists such as Uncle Waffles, Manana, and Mörda, reflecting her versatility and ability to navigate different musical landscapes. Her 2025 single Progress, produced by Grammy-nominated producer Sunny Kale, highlights her growth as a songwriter and her commitment to crafting emotionally resonant music.
