Malachi Oluebube Miracle, professionally known as Lumei, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter recognised for her fusion of Afro R&B and pop. Born on November 11, 2006, in Enugu State, Nigeria, and currently based in Lagos, she has been steadily rising in the music industry with her soulful melodies, introspective songwriting, and smooth vocal delivery. Inspired by legendary artists such as Celine Dion, Rihanna, and Dido, Lumei developed a deep passion for music from an early age, drawing from both Nigerian and international influences to shape her unique sound. Her music is deeply personal, often reflecting her emotions, lifestyle, and experiences, making her songs relatable and authentic.
In 2024, Lumei signed with Emperians Nation, a record label dedicated to developing emerging talent. Later that year, she made her official debut with the single "Dreams" on December 13, 2024, marking the beginning of her journey in the industry. The song introduced her to a growing audience, showcasing her ability to craft heartfelt and engaging music. Following the success of her debut, Lumei released her first EP, Beautiful Light, on March 28, 2025, a project that solidified her as a rising star in the Nigerian music scene.
