Luanda Sounds Fest

The three-day Luanda Sounds Fest epitomises the type of world-class music festival the country aims to promote now that the region has found some stability, drawing big international names as well as domestic stars. Held annually in September in the renewed Bay of Luanda, which has benefited from environmental cleanup and improved services, the Luanda Sounds Fest is currently the largest music festival in all of Angola. The festival draws a lineup of internationally celebrated musicians. Artists who performed over the festival’s three days in 2013 included British pop star Taio Cruz, Angola’s own Yola Semedo and British jazz singer Joss Stone.
