LoveSeed:
LoveSeed, born Thando Nombewu, is a South African singer, songwriter, and cultural storyteller whose music blends Urban AfroSoul and African Ballads into a soulful, healing, and emotionally captivating sound. With roots in Classical, Traditional, Gospel, Jazz, and Soul music, her artistry embodies spiritual depth, sincerity, and a strong sense of African identity. Her performances are known for their warmth and transformative energy, inviting listeners into moments of reflection, connection, and upliftment.
A celebrated talent, LoveSeed is a Standard Bank Ovation Award winner, recognised for her artistic excellence and contribution to the creative landscape. She has showcased her work on major platforms, including Old Mutual Amazing Voices Season 2 where she performed as a finalist. Her presence has been felt across notable stages such as the Mamela Arts Festival, Women in Arts Manyano Festival, and the Alliance Française Street Festival. She has also appeared on Umhlobo Wenene FM’s Afro Café and has been featured in Creative Feel Magazine for her innovative and impactful work. Expanding her artistic reach, she is also a proud member of Jazz Divas on the Bay, where she continues to shine through collaborative performance.
Beyond the stage, LoveSeed is deeply committed to community upliftment, cultural preservation, and artist development. She is the founder and producer of Embracing Africanism in Song, a programme dedicated to exploring African identity through music, storytelling, and heritage. Her community work includes facilitating programmes in schools, correctional centres, and youth spaces, where she promotes empowerment, cultural pride, and healing through the arts. She serves as the Secretary of Bay Collective Creatives NPC and leads creative empowerment initiatives through the LoveSeed Foundation, advocating for artist rights and sustainable creative careers.
