Bio

LOBELA, is an African instrumentalist and producer whose house and lounge sound will evoke the feeling of relaxation, while his music transports you to an island paradise or a sophisticated yet chilled venue.

Lobela - directly translated from Sepedi means to finish – has completed his dues as a sideman and is in pursuit of his solo career as an artist with a unique distinctive ‘music production sound which is we influenced by his jazz and classical music background; saxophone sound.

He has been a supporting sideman for renowned musicians such as Lira and the Gauteng jazz Orchestra just to name a few.

Born and bred from the northern part of South Africa, Limpopo, the gifted musician has performed around like world at festivals like the Lake Malawi Festival, the Africa Festival in Germany, the Cape Town International Joy of Jazz and many more.

With influences from Hugh Masekela, Black Coffee and Louie Vega. Lobela is ready to show the world why he’s the master of his craft as he begins his solo musical journey through his first single.

He constantly shows his love and commitment to his craft by fine tuning his sound and working with professional artists and groups/bands around the world.

Lobela studied a Jazz Studies Programme and graduated from the University of Cape Town.
