Livity is a renowned Cape Verdean band celebrated for its vibrant fusion of traditional styles such as coladeira and funaná with modern zouk rhythms. Active since the late 1980s and early 1990s, the group has become an iconic presence within the Cape Verdean music scene.
Known for their infectious energy and dance-driven sound, Livity played a significant role in popularising contemporary Cape Verdean zouk and party music. Their catalogue features standout hits such as “Bia”, “Felicidade”, “Morena”, “Que Bale”, and “Sem Ninguém”, many of which prominently feature vocalist Jorge Neto.
Throughout their career, Livity has been closely associated with a number of influential artists and musicians, including Grace Évora, as well as collaborators and producers such as Johnny, Roberto, Anibel, Gracindo, Carlos, and Aquilino. These partnerships have contributed to the band’s rich and dynamic sound.
