Lighthouse Television Uganda went on the air in Kampala, Uganda in July 1997. Presiding over the opening ceremony was the Hon. Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda, Uganda's Minister of Information.
Lighthouse Television is owned by Calvary Cathedral International in Fort Worth, Texas pastored by Pastor Bob Nichols.
They are a Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) affiliate. They broadcast mostly Trinity Broadcasting Network programming.
