LesEgo

LesEgo is a saxophonist, singer, composer, and performer from Mabopane. She is a member of Basadi Ladies in Jazz, a women's band based in Pretoria.

LesEgo studied music at FUBA in Johannesburg in the 1990s. She started her music career at an early age while at school, performing and dancing with friends and fellow musicians.

After her studies, she pursued a career in Jazz and African music, as well as a session musician, playing along with other Jazz artists such as The Soweto String Quartet and many other greats, traveling and performing in South Africa and abroad.

In 2014, she released her first solo project, a self-titled album, 'Lesego La me'. She has won several awards and she is still touring and performing to the present.
