LAWBOE¥

Nathal Lawrence Maphisa, known professionally as Lawboe¥, is a South African recording artist and songwriter. He gained recognition within the South African independent hip-hop scene through his collaborations with the producer and artist OC€AN
Maphisa was born in Johannesburg, Gauteng, on 19 February. He began his musical interests during his primary school years, recording his first unofficial tracks at the age of 10.
Lawboe¥’s professional career began to see growth in 2024 within the release of his single “Vukuyosebenza.” In 2025, he was featured prominently on the Vaaliewood EP by the artist OC€AN.

In late 2025, LAWBOE¥ before he changed the spelling of his artist name, he was nominated for Best Upcoming Artist at the Timeline Hip-Hop Awards, hosted by Timeline Radio. The nomination recognized his contributions to the local hip-hop scene over the preceding year.
