Latoya Stella

Born Nontokoza Latoya, Latoya Stella is a Namibian Afrobeats and Afropop singer. She blends traditional sounds with contemporary beats to reflect her cultural heritage and elicit a unique sound rooted in African culture. Latoya Stella aims to connect with her audience through exploring her craft, and representing African identity. 

She wrote her first song at 15 to stay motivated during exam stress. She draws inspiration from experiences, dreams, struggles, and fellow artists like Sally Boss Madam, and her music has a focus on powerful African identities with themes including personal growth, determination, love, identity, and life stories. Her music gained traction with "Commando," "Go," and "My Pace," with "Commando" reaching hundreds of thousands of views.  

She dreams of curating headline shows and doing national showcases and with her incredible work ethic thus far, we'll likely be hearing more great music from her.
