Krio Mesaya

Krio Mesaya, born Daniel Mansaray, is a Sierra Leonean hip-hop and Afro-rap artist known for blending contemporary sounds with Krio cultural influences. Originally from Kalangba in the Ngowahun chiefdom, he grew up among the Krios in Freetown and attended Freetown Comprehensive High Secondary School (Seventh Battalion).

He began his music journey in 2019, recording his first track, AGRICULTURE, featuring Izi Brandon. His rise to national prominence came in 2025 through a collaboration with his mentor, Samza, on the track D'reb Am', which quickly became a hit across Sierra Leone. Since then, Krio Mesaya has remained consistent in his craft, featuring on tracks like Somesiealongside Samza, Aprill, and Bakitenno, and releasing his solo single SEE, which continues to gain widespread attention.

Raised by his father, who passed away in 2013, Krio Mesaya draws from his personal experiences to create music that resonates with audiences, combining authentic storytelling with engaging rhythms. His sound, often described as “Krio Fusion,” reflects his heritage while pushing the boundaries of modern Sierra Leonean hip-hop.
