Bio

Born Shadreck Kwarire, King Shaddy is one of the well-known dancehall musicians in Zimbabwe who rose to fame following the release of his song ‘Wadiwa mai Huni’. He is one of the talented singers in the country whose music reflects truth and fictional incidences.

In August 2013, he released a song titled ‘Vakandibata Bani’. The track is a narration of an event that took place on 20 July of that year when he was attacked. In the song, he thanks God for saving his life. Some of the songs which contributed to his popularity include ‘Machira Chete’ and ‘Song for Mama’. He has performed alongside renowned dancehall artist Winky D and urban groover Nox Guni. He has also toured the UK with fellow Zimbabwean artists.

Some of the songs he has released are ‘Ndisahwira wako here’ (a cover version of Mathias Mhere), ‘Isu’ featuring Winky D, ‘Tsoka yaDanmore’, ‘Pagochi Gochi’, ‘Vakandibata’, ‘True Love’ and ‘I Love u Mama’.
