KhaligraphJones is a Kenyan rap artist, songwriter, and record executive, widely regarded as one of Africa’s most technically skilled and respected hip-hop emcees. Born BrianOukoOmolloon28March1990 in Nairobi, Kenya, he grew up in the city’s Eastlands area, where his sharp lyricism and competitive spirit were shaped by street culture and battle rap. Often referred to as the “OG”, Khaligraph Jones is known for his aggressive delivery, intricate wordplay, and ability to rap fluently in English, Swahili, and Sheng, making his music accessible across East Africa and beyond. He rose to prominence through rap battles and early underground releases before breaking into the mainstream with tracks like Yego, Mazishi, and Yes Bana, which showcased both his technical prowess and storytelling ability. Over the years, he has released critically acclaimed projects such as Testimony 1990 and Invisible Currency, earning multiple awards including BestHipHopAct at the Soundcity MVP Awards.
