Kartong Festival

Kartong Festival is an annual weeklong festival in The Gambia that was founded a decade ago. Kartong is on the southerly border of The Gambia adjacent to the Casamance region of Senegal, within easy reach of Banjul International Airport. It is one of the oldest and most unspoilt coastal villages. The high profiled event takes place at St Martins Basic Cycle School grounds right in the centre of the village. The event includes performances in local lodges within easy reach of Kartong.
