Kagina Timothy

Timothy Kagina is a celebrated Rwandan gospel artist, songwriter, and minister, widely known for his uplifting songs “Amatangazo” and “Turi Abanyamugisha.” With a career spanning more than a decade, Kagina has established himself as one of the notable voices in Rwanda’s gospel music landscape, using his ministry through music to inspire, evangelize, and strengthen the faith of believers both locally and across the East African region.

Kagina officially launched his career in 2007 with the release of his debut album “Amatangazo” (12 songs). The album became a hit across Rwanda and was so successful that a businessman in Nyabugogo purchased its distribution rights, turning it into one of the most widely circulated gospel albums of the time.

In 2008, he released his second album “Turi Abanyamugisha” (10 songs). The following year, in 2009, he expanded the project into a DVD version, further boosting his popularity. His music, known for its evangelical message and powerful worship lyrics, earned him invitations to perform at gospel crusades, church gatherings, and concerts both in Rwanda and neighboring countries.

In 2012, Kagina continued his journey with a third album (10 songs). By early 2014, he had ventured into a broader audience with a Swahili DVD album, reaching gospel listeners across the East African region.

In 2016, he released another project titled “Turi Kurutonde” (DVD), followed by “Ikizere” in 2020, his sixth known album.
