Kaestyle
Bio
Kaestyle, born Kelvin Ibinabo Oriye in Port Harcourt, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and producer known for blending soulful R and B with contemporary African rhythms. He grew up in Rivers State and developed an early interest in music, learning piano and experimenting with production while still a teenager. His formal training at the University of Port Harcourt helped refine his understanding of arrangement, melody and performance.
He joined an independent Lagos label in 2021, where he released Stamina, a debut single that introduced his smooth vocal tone and instinct for melodic hooks. The song marked the beginning of a growing catalogue centred on emotion, reflection and modern Afrobeats energy.
In 2022 he released his first EP titled Kae’s Study, a project that explored themes of ambition, desire and personal growth. The EP helped solidify his presence in Nigeria’s evolving alternative and mainstream fusion scene. He expanded his artistry further with the project Rookies Dont Sound This Good in 2025, presenting a more confident sound shaped by richer production and clearer storytelling.
Kaestyle’s music is recognised for its warmth, fluid vocals and a balance of softness and rhythm. His style places him among a new wave of Nigerian artists who merge soulful influences with inventive African soundscapes, creating a distinct and modern hybrid.
