Jullian Gomes

Jullian Gomes is a cornerstone of the South African house music scene, renowned for his "electronic soul" sound that balances deep, sophisticated production with raw emotional resonance. Born and raised in South Africa, Gomes’s musical foundation was built on a rich diet of Soul, Latin, and Kwaito, before he discovered house music at the age of eight. He began performing in 2003, embarking on a steady ascent that would eventually take his sound to the global stage. 

Gomes first achieved major industry recognition as one half of the duo G. Family alongside his cousin, Michael G. In 2012, at the age of 23, he received his first South African Music Award (SAMA) nomination for the group’s acclaimed album, Break the Silence. Seeking to carve out a unique solo identity, he stepped away from the collective later that year to release his debut solo single, "Love Song 28" featuring Bobby. The track became an instant classic; its accompanying music video was honoured with the Best Music Video award at the 2013 Metro FM Music Awards. 

His international profile was further bolstered by his participation in the Red Bull Music Academy in London in 2010, an experience that expanded his technical expertise and global network. This paved the way for prestigious bookings at world-renowned festivals, including Sónar Barcelona, Oppikoppi, and Rocking the Daisies. 

In September 2016, Gomes released his long-awaited debut solo album, Late Dreamer. The project was a critical triumph, winning Best Dance Album at the inaugural Dance Music Awards South Africa in 2017, while the hit single "1000 Memories" (featuring Sio) was named House Record of the Year. Today, as the founder of his own label, World Without End, Jullian Gomes continues to push the boundaries of deep house, cementing his reputation as an artist whose music is both timeless and deeply rooted in the South African spirit.
