Jozy

Josiane Wineza, popularly known to her fans as Jozy, is a musician from Kigali, Rwanda. She was born in 1990 to Pierre Kaburame and Cansilde Umubeshyerwa. She sings RnB and Afro-beat music. Her love for music developed at a tender age. Back then, she would sing along to music from some of the country's popular artists. This prompted her to become a member of a local school choir. Her participation in the choir gave her much confidence that saw her competing in talent detection completions and came out first. Since then, she realized she had a talent and started to write and compose her own songs.

In 2011, she released her debut song titled ‘Nyemera’. This was followed by collaborations on songs such as ‘Salax Awards’ which featured Kim Kizito, ‘Nizere Nde’ featuring Paccy, ‘Njye Nawe’ with King James. To date, she is one of the female musicians who are making waves in the country's music industry.
