John Lwanda

Bio

Born in 1949 in Malawi, John Lwanda is renowned medical doctor, writer, publisher, poet, researcher, publisher and music producer. He is now based in Scotland. He attained his education in Zimbabwe (1956–1958), Malawi (1958–1969) and Scotland at Anglican, Catholic and Presbyterian schools and colleges. In 1974, he relocated to the US where he became involved in music. He worked as an honorary senior lecturer at the University Glasgow University Department of Primary Care until 2005. He proceeded to pursue history and social science PhD at the University of Edinburgh's Centre of African Studies.

As a writer, his first article was published in Moni magazine in 1965. This prompted him to work as a Freelance writer and journalist from 1981. In 1998, he ventured into the music industry and became a music producer and researcher.

John is the founder of Pamvision and Pamtondo.com organisations.
