John Lundun Bio
Reshoketjwe Marakalala Aka “John Lundun” born in Polokwane, Limpopo.
His father gives him his very first lessons in Piano & Guitar at a young age.
In 2009 John Lundun went on to music school at Damelin acquiring his certificate in Contemporary Music & in 2010 enrols at TUT Arts Campus completing his Diploma in Jazz & Popular Music.
After music school Lundun produces music for Kwesta, Thabsie, NaakMusiq, Moonga K, Viwe Tyolwana & recently producing a South African Music Awards (SAMAs) winning album for Berita in the “Rest Of Africa” category alongside nominees Wizkid & Davido.
Having successfully worked through various genres including Dance, Afropop, HipHop & Soul… he’s now taking the journey of discovering his sound. His first single of 2021 “Marobalo” with Morayks was nominated for 4 Awards at the Limpopo Music Awards 2021 (Best Song Of The Year, Best Afro-Pop, Best Duo Collab & Best Sepedi Hit).
His Debut album 14:20 was released on the 15th April 2022. The album is currently making waves in different parts of the world and the one phrase listeners use to describe It is “Fresh sound, Never heard before”. His music is currently playlisted on Trace Africa, MTV Base, Chanel O, Mzansi Magic & many other playlists.
