Bio
Jaouad Alloul is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans music, theatre, literature, and performance. His creative practice explores themes of identity, ritual, and transformation, with the stage serving as a central space for embodiment and storytelling.
As a musician, Jaouad has released two albums, Messias (2021) and Homo Universalis (2023), and co-wrote Because of You with Gustaph, Belgium’s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023. In 2025, he deepened his musical explorations through Gnawa traditions while working at Dar Gnaoua in Essaouira, Morocco, alongside ongoing research into Sufi music and dervish practices.
These diverse influences converge in Coming Home, a collective music project drawing from Gnawa, Chaabi, Raï, Maqaam, and South American traditions, reflecting Jaouad’s commitment to cross-cultural musical dialogue and the transformative power of sound.
Jaouad continues to innovate at the intersections of art and music, using his multidisciplinary approach to create experiences that are both immersive and thought-provoking.
