Jake Gunn is a blues rock musician hailing from the northern suburbs of Cape Town. Fuelled by his passion for rock ‘n roll, he focused on refining his guitar skills from a young age. Since entering the South African music scene, Gunn has toured all over South Africa and even up to Mozambique, sharing the stage with a number of prominent musicians along the way. He spent almost a decade under the mentorship of veteran musician Piet Botha, performing over 500 shows with him and later joining Jack Hammer.

A versatile musician, Gunn performs as part of an acoustic duo or a three-piece band, and has also recently been surprising audiences with his unique and stripped-down piano style. Audiences can expect to hear original material as well as covers of songs from the likes of Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen. Gunn’s soulful brand of blues rock, often infused with reggae, is bound to entertain and impress.
