Bio
A Nigerian belonging to the Yorùbá people, he is dedicated to promoting Yorùbá arts and culture in Brazil. He works with artists from Nigeria and Africa in general, focusing mainly on traditional and contemporary expressions of music and dance. Winner of the Best Soundtrack Award at the Cine Serra Festival and Santa Cruz do Sul Film Festival for the documentary Fè Mye Talè, he also received the Açorianos Dance Award: Soundtrack and Dance Dissemination and Training Projects; and was the winner of the 3rd Edition of the National Cultural Expressions Award. In addition, in recent years, since 2018, he has been one of the guest lecturers teaching classes at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul - UFRGS and the Federal University of Minas Gerais - UFMG, through the Encontros de Saberes program, on Yorùbá culture.
In 2018 and 2023, he promoted Cultural Exchange between Nigeria and Brazil, as part of the organizing committee for the visit of King Ọọni Ọba Adéyẹyẹ̀ Ẹnitàn Ogúnwusì, the highest authority of the Yorùbá people, to Salvador, Brasília, Rio de Janeiro, and Minas Gerais. He also served as a facilitator during the visit of Nigerian writer Wole Soyinka, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature, in 2017. He is currently the coordinator of the company ÌLÚ AKIN Produções, creator and producer of the Ontologias Outras project, Grupo ÌBEJÌ, Ọ̀seẹt̀úrá Africa'njazz, Festival ÌPÀDÉ, and FELA DAY POA (an event in tribute to Fela Kuti).
