Gigi / Geraldine Hepp

Gigi / Geraldine Hepp is a creative producer, facilitator, consultant, and artist from Germany. 

She works in the leadership team at Karneval der Kulturen (Carnival of Cultures), hosted by Piranha Arts which also hosts WOMEX. Karneval der Kulturen is Berlin's biggest public annual cultural intervention, with over a million visitors and 5000+ volunteer participants taking to the streets in a parade in the midst of the city and a 4-day street festival with music stages presenting Berlin-based acts from all over the world. 

She is also co-founder and experience designer at EAST, an artist collective creating experiential artist residencies in unusual formats, for example on historic train tracks or in hybrid settings, exploring entangled histories and reimagining possible futures while connecting artists and culture makers from different disciplines and geographies. 

As an artist, she explores the poetic life through various mediums, currently focusing on a film on our relationship to aging, death, beauty and presence with her mother who is living with dementia. 

Gigi has more than a decade of experience in designing transformative ((learning/artistic)) experiences, shaping organizational culture, and building communities to unlock and expand the potential of social impact leaders, companies, cultural organizations, and artists.
