Francesca Biancoli

Bio

Francesca is an Italian singer and songwriter based in Cape Town, South Africa.

Francesca was born in Bari, South Italy, a multi-cultured seaside town famous for its Greek, Arabic, and Turkish influences. Growing up with access to such rich and varied diversity helped inform her spontaneous and non-conformist musical path. Inspiring many musicians and fans alike, her heartfelt and skilled vocal delivery are perfectly matched to her delicate guitar playing and instrumental complexity. She draws influences from such artists as Ella Fitzgerald, ASA, Amy Winehouse and Hiatus Kaiyote.

Francesca's contemporary blend of gypsy-jazz and neo-soul offer listeners a deep and original insight into her creative process. Regardless of the name you choose to pin on the simultaneously smooth and soulful sound, her emerging and progressive approach to music has captured the attention of the music scene.

In January 2019, she released an album called 'Ikigai'. In keeping with the Japanese concept of the same name, 'Ikigai' strives to guide followers to a long and happy life through the convergence of four primary elements: passion, mission, vocation and profession.
